Workforce Innovation 和 Opportunity Act (WIOA)

Your first step is to contact the McHenry County Workforce Network (MCWN). The MCWN is the local administrator of the Workforce Innovation 和 Opportunity Act (WIOA), which serves eligible workers who need assistance with employment 和 培训 options. Eligibility refers to federal grant regulations regarding economic status, barriers to employment, 和 dislocation information.

For information about how to apply, go to McHenry County Workforce Network. 应用 online 和 follow all directions included with the application process. You must meet the criteria set forth by WIOA.  After you've applied, a Workforce Network eligibility coordinator will contact you.

A Workforce Network career planner will then work with you to select the most appropriate 培训 program. Your Workforce Network career planner will also give you a new customer worksheet.

After you've registered for classes, schedule an appointment with your MCWN career planner. You will receive a voucher, which authorizes payment for your classes. Finally, bring this voucher to the MCC Registration Office, A258.
